Air Charger Systems

Functions:

The air charger system uses a quiet oiless air compressor to put in large amounts of oxygen into the retention tank. The compressor is wired into the pressure switch that controls the well pump. The oxygen enters into the properly sized retention tank and forced to the bottom of the tank through a PVC pipe which has a 10 micron porous pipe at the end. Once the air is expelled it forms thousands of minute bubbles which effectively mixes with the iron and manganese for proper oxidation. The water then flows to a properly sized multi media filter which will remove all oxidized iron and manganese. The air charger system also is effective in the removal of hydrogen sulfide gas.

System Includes:

  • Mineral Tank
  • 5 Stage Media Mineral Bed
  • Control Valve
  • Retention Tank with Hub and PVC Pipe
  • By-Pass Valve
  • Air Compressor System (110 Volt or 220 Volt)

Eliminates:

  • Iron
  • Manganese
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Gas

Please note:

Air charger system is not guaranteed to remove iron bacteria, manganese bacteria, coliform bacteria and E.coli bacteria. Service flow rates of 5 g.p.m. are a minimum requirement for effective backwashing. The presence of iron and manganese bacteria could eventually cement the mineral bed together. The presence of coliform and E.coli bacteria could make the media bed ideal for breeding bacteria. Once oxygen is induced into water where bacteria is present, it could accelerate bacteria growth.
